About Us
How it started
Pharm-ACE Solutions was founded by Sundus Jawad, a highly qualified, experienced, multi-award-winning clinical pharmacist.
With over 25 years of experience as a pharmacist, Sundus has worked across community pharmacy, primary care, social care, academia and research, and the private sector. She specialises in the care of older people, frailty, and polypharmacy, with a particular focus on medicines optimisation in care homes and social care.
Her interest in older people’s care began early in her career, when a care home sought her expertise to provide training and support following a serious medication error. As the impact of her training became widely recognised, Sundus identified a significant gap in medicines management support and high-quality medication training. In response, she founded Pharm-ACE Solutions in 2009 to support care providers and commissioners, including Local Authorities.
Sundus is a Fellow of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society and currently serves as Chair of the National Pharmacy Care Home Faculty. She is also a member of the British Geriatric Society and a registered practitioner with the European Mentoring and Coaching Council (EMCC). In addition, she holds roles including NICE Medicines and Prescribing Associate as part of her work as Lead Medicines Optimisation in Care Homes Pharmacist within the NHS in the United Kingdom. She is also currently an Honorary Fellow at the Nuffield Department of Primary Care Health Sciences, University of Oxford.
A committed advocate for compassionate care, Sundus is a Dignity Champion and promotes dignity in care across all aspects of her professional practice.
